The dates for the Nigeria trip have been finalized: November 17 - December 2, 2005 (beginning and ending in Lagos). Plan on an additional day before and after for travel from the U.S. We know that some folks may want to do other traveling while they are on that side of the world, so the international travel portion of the trip will be arranged by each individual for the most flexibility.

    Upcoming events

We've scheduled three more Global Citizen Journey gatherings in the Seattle area before Joel Bisina returns to Nigeria:

    June 29: Phinney Neighborhood Center
    6532 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle, 206-783-2244

    July 5: Bellevue Regional Library
    1111 110th Avenue NE, Bellevue, 425-450-1765

    July 6: Third Place Commons
17171 Bothell Way NE (in Third Place Books), Lake Forest Park, 206-366-3302

GCJ gatherings aren't just for those who think they might want to go to Nigeria this fall. Our broader mission is to increase awareness among as many people as possible about what is happening in Africa and the role each of us can play in helping that continent. Most Americans know so very little, and if each person who attends leaves with a better understanding of the real situation, then we have done our job. If you haven't attended, please consider joining us and learning more about this important work in the world.

If you've already attended a presentation, we'd love to have you back for another and PLEASE INVITE YOUR FRIENDS! We've found that each presentation is a little different with different questions and different stories from those in the audience, so attending again can be very enjoyable.
